About this site
Privacy policy
This site has no accounts, no forms that send us data and no access to WhatsApp. It never sees your messages, contacts or phone number.
Who is responsible
webonwhatsapp.com is published by Airtime Media. Contact: info@airtimemedia.eu. The site is independent and is not operated by WhatsApp or Meta; their privacy policies do not cover this site, and ours does not cover their services.
What we record when you visit
Our own counter. Each page view sends a small first-party request that records the time, the page address, the website you came from (the domain only, never the full address) and a coarse device type (Android, iOS, desktop or other) and the country you visit from. The country is looked up from your IP address at the moment of the visit, in a table on our own server (IP Geolocation by DB-IP); only the two-letter country code is kept. To count visitors rather than page views it also stores a short code derived from your IP address, browser and the date; the code changes every day, the IP address itself is not stored, and the code cannot be turned back into it. No cookie is set, and the site cannot recognise you on a later day.
A few clicks. The same counter notes a handful of interactions so we can see which pages are useful: a click to a software vendor (which vendor, and from which page), a click to the official WhatsApp Web, a click from a guide into the business section, and that a tool was used or its result copied. It records the name of the button, never anything you typed.
The tools on this site
Every tool under Free tools runs entirely in your browser: the link generator, the auto-reply menu generator, the cost calculator, the chat button generator and the text formatter. Whatever you type into them, including business names, addresses, phone numbers, message texts and volumes, is processed on your own device and is never sent to us or to anyone else. The only thing recorded is that a tool was used, as described above.
One exception, and only when you decide to buy: pressing "Buy your menu" on the menu generator saves the finished menu (the texts you see in the try-out chat, including your business name and opening hours) on our server under a random order code, because your bot is built from it. Payment is handled by Gumroad, which sells the product as merchant of record under its own privacy policy; we do not receive your card details. Gumroad tells us that the order was paid and gives your purchase a licence key, which we store with the order so you can find your download again. We use this only to deliver the product and the 30 days of support that come with it. Orders that are never paid are deleted after seven days; mail us to have a paid order's menu removed.
Customer accounts
Buyers of the menu bot can create an account in the customer portal, at webonwhatsapp.com/account/. We store the e-mail address you bought with (we receive it from Gumroad), your purchases and the menu you made. Your password is never stored: only a one-way hash of it, which cannot be turned back into the password. Logging in sets one cookie whose only job is to keep you logged in; it is not used for measuring or advertising. Mail us to have your account and its data deleted.
Links to other sites
Guides link to WhatsApp's official pages and, in the business section, to software vendors. Some vendor links are affiliate links, which let the vendor know the visit came from this site; see the affiliate disclosure. Once you leave, the other site's privacy policy applies.
Hosting
The site runs on a server we rent from Hetzner Online GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany. The server's own logs record technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and block abuse; they are kept for 14 days and used for nothing else.
Your rights
Because we do not hold data that identifies you, there is normally nothing for us to look up, correct or delete. If you believe otherwise, write to the address above and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or the UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
